The Happy Tomatoes are grown in the locality of Rye Island (Žitný Ostrov), where they can absorb up to 2000 hours of sunshine and benefit from the high-quality local water. The greenhouses are heated with geothermal energy and only biological plant protection is used. A guarantee of true quality is the local producers´ tradition and the love of farmers for the tomatoes. Since the growers want to preserve the true taste of the tomatoes, they do not use artificial lighting, so the Happy Tomatoes are only available from the end of February until November.
