The town of Dunajská Streda is the heart of Rye Island and is also an ideal geothermal location. This is where quality cherry and coctail-tomatoes are grown. The geothermal water almost boils – it has more than 90 degrees Celsius and flows mainly into greenhouses during the winter period, so that tomatoes can develop under ideal conditions even during the greatest winters. The chief agronomist Marek Zmajkovič and his team grow the sweetest snack varieties of Happy Tomatoes, which always need warmth and sunlight.
